charges. Clean up can be accomplished with only
ordinary tap water. Jim Shockey?s Gold? is clean,

Jim Shockey's GOLD? is a loose, granular
PREMIUM grade pf powder that was designed and
created to be a sulfurless black powder
replacement. The powder delivers fast and complete
ignition plus superior performance, accuracy, and
dependability. Jim Shockey?s Gold? is available in
two granule sizes (FFG and FFFG). Loading is simple
- for your frontstuffer, just pour your powder down
the bore and seat your projectile. No compaction or
compression is needed beyond seating firmly against
the powder. Don't use lubes, grease cookies or
lubricated wads. That will only CAUSE fouling! Cap
your rifle and you are ready to go. That's
it!
Manufactured by American Pioneer Powder, Jim
Shockey?s Gold? brings you the performance and
clean burning results that you have come to demand
in your muzzleloading and black powder cartridge
needs. It is a volume for volume exchange for black
powder, giving the same results for the loads you
have developed, including the smoke, but without
the fouling and corrosion. No lubes are needed, and
in fact should be left out of your loading, other
than the normal lube contained in the lube grooves
of your bullet. And clean-up is a snap, allowing
you to even use tap water on a cleaning patch. In
addition, it is shipped and stored as a smokeless
powder, making it much easier to ship and store.
Many areas have outlawed black powder buying and/or
storage entirely or have made it more difficult and
expensive.
This product burns so clean that shot after
shot can be loaded without the fouling build-up
that is expected with other products. I have left
personal firearms uncleaned for over 5,000 rounds
and the fouling never does build up! (Brass
cartridge cases DO need to be cleaned right after
use, as the nitrate salts will cause discoloration
and/or corrosion when combined with the brass. This
can be as simple as a soak in detergent/water
mixture.)
